Mike Downhouse - A person's longing for another person

#1 Post by renki » 02 Aug 2019, 21:17

My jacket doesn't need a needle, no yarn
but the soul longs for better
you can't hear poetry in these taverns, no tanks
just drunken speech
That face in the mirror of the men's room I'm staring at
not mine oo but the property of a drinking gang
But one thing is comforting
the fact that you may have once loved me
Still it's good you can't see me now
I don't want you to be shocked for me
When all is gone, all that remains is that
a person's longing for another person

I guess I demand too much and I can't stand myself clearly
it is the same whether the rocks move or work
I know I can't do the future
but as long as you can survive tomorrow
I go alone in my fight here and if I win, you will fail
one day old master standing at your door
Maybe I'm a drunkard, but that's a gentleman
I don't want to bother you at this point
Still it's good you can't see me now
I don't want you to be shocked for me
When all is gone, all that remains is that
a person's longing for another person
