In the weeks, days and hours ahead of Wednesday's siege on the Capitol by President Donald Trump's zealous supporters, the warning signs were clear: online posts from hate groups and right-wing provocateurs agitating for civil war, the deaths of top lawmakers and attacks on law enforcement.
And now, as the dust settles and the country struggles to make sense of the violence that left five dead -- including an officer with the US Capitol Police -- experts warn that the calls for violence have only intensified ahead of Inauguration Day, when President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn in as commander in chief.
"We are seeing ... chatter from these white supremacists, from these far-right extremists -- they feel emboldened in this moment," said Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, which tracks and counters hate. "We fully expect that this violence could actually get worse before it gets better."

Lähtökohtaisesti kaikki muut ihmiset on Trumpeille alempiarvoisia koska ne eivät ole Trumpeja (the best people). Tätä oppia Donald on soveltanut johdonmukaisesti bisneksessä ja politiikassa: velkoja ei tarvitse maksaa ja kuka tahansa voidaan heittää bussin alle tosta noin vaan.

The House may well go through with impeaching Trump for the reason of trying to stop Trump from holding political office again.

The Constitution, under Article I, Section 3, Clause 7, says that "judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States."

But to disqualify him, there would need to be a separate vote and it would be up to the Senate to consider it.

"Procedurally, they have the articles of impeachment, the Senate would convict and then after they convict, someone would make a motion to also disqualify and then they would take up that," said Brian Kalt, author of Unable, The Law, Politics, and Limits of Section 4 of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. "So it's totally at the discretion of the Senate whether to consider it, and then once they consider it, it's just up to that simple majority whether they do it."

But with the Senate out until Jan. 19, there's a constitutional question of whether impeachment can go through after a president's term is up.

And there's also a question of whether the penalty barring him from office would even stick.

"It disqualifies you from office under the United States, and the Constitution elsewhere distinguishes that from Congress," Kalt said, adding, "Officers are generally appointed positions, and possibly the president, too, although there's some debate on that, since he's elected."

So could Trump run again even if a disqualification provision passes the Senate?

"He could try," Kalt said. "There are people who have argued that. I think, though, as a practical matter, if they're going to get two-thirds in the Senate against him [for impeachment], it would be a sign that just as a practical matter, he's lost enough Republican support, that he'd be facing an uphill battle getting the nomination anyway. So that would help. But he could fight it out. I mean, he's shown a willingness to do that."

Trump considering Giuliani and Dershowitz for impeachment defense team

(CNN)Staring down the barrel of a second impeachment, President Donald Trump is beginning to mull who would represent him in a Senate trial.

He's expected to be represented by his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, in the event of an impeachment trial, two sources familiar with the matter said, and is also considering hiring controversial attorney Alan Dershowitz for his impeachment defense team.

Dershowitz declined to comment to CNN, saying, "I don't talk to CNN, I sue them." But he told Politico on Friday that it would be his "honor and privilege" to defend the President.

A Giuliani spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

While the President's impeachment defense team is only just coming into view, it is becoming increasingly clear that the primary members of the team during his first impeachment would be unlikely to join.

Constitutional attorney Jay Sekulow, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and attorney Jane Raskin are not expected to be involved for a second impeachment trial. Cipollone is said to have considered resigning in recent days.

‘Find the fraud’: Trump pressured a Georgia elections investigator in a separate call legal experts say could amount to obstruction

President Trump urged Georgia’s lead elections investigator to “find the fraud” in a lengthy December phone call, saying the official would be a “national hero,” according to an individual familiar with the call who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the conversation.

Trump placed the call to the investigations chief for the Georgia secretary of state’s office shortly before Christmas — while the individual was leading an inquiry into allegations of ballot fraud in Cobb County, in the suburbs of Atlanta, according to people familiar with the episode.

The president’s attempts to intervene in an ongoing investigation could amount to obstruction of justice or other criminal violations, legal experts said, though they cautioned a case could be difficult to prove.

Se on kolkyt vuotta ollut nuorempi kun nyt. Saas nähdä onko ukossa enää henkeä kun muutaman vuoden myllyttää oikeusistuimissa, toki suuremmaksi kompastuskiveksi saattaa tulla republikaanien primaryistä läpipääseminen olettaen että siellä ei nyt ihan jotain Romneytä ole vastassa. Etenkin nyt kun bännejä on lätkitty someihin.

Katsoin noita haastatteluita ja rupesin miettimään, paljonko tuolla mahtaa olla ihan oikeassa psykoosissa olevaa jengiä. Nimittäin osaa kävi ihan oikeasti tämän takia sääliksi. Esimerkiksi toi shamaani vaikutti olevan täysin pihalla kaikesta. Suuri osa toki ihan vain kusipäitä.
