"Static Electric Music" introduces the new five-piece mark II line-up of The Phonochromes with Jesse Essel (Grande Mahogany) on lead vocals/guitar and Mikko Nieminen (Rivette) on bass. The four tracks manage to escape any bold categorization within the rock spectrum, creating a charged up cluster of influences instead which ultimately crystallize as the sound of The Phonochromes. "Static Electric Music" touches on elements of 60's garage pop/rock and motor city proto-punk and provides a highly diverse set of songs each with a spirit of their own."
