I prefer Caesar Romero in the tv series of 'Batman'. At least Romero made me laugh and was entertaining as opposed to making me sick to my stomach. Even Romero, the actor, was gracious and kind to those who interviewed him knowing that the craft of acting was just that...a lovely mirage of fantasy that was suppose to entertain and uplift the viewer.
Why do folks applaud this kind of rubbish cinema?
Years ago we were entranced by Peter O'Toole in Laurence of Arabia or Cary Grant in Hitchcock's 'North by Northwest', or Clark Gable in 'Gone with the Wind'. Why don't they make films like this anymore?
What has happened to excellent cinema and excellent acting? Gone are the days when real films graced our cinema screens, Humphrey Bogart, Laurence Olivier, Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz, or Gene Kelly in 'Singing in the Rain'.
The late Gene Wilder confessed why he left Hollywood when he confessed that what they were asking him to do was 'dark' and 'sick' with the violence, vulgarity and sex that had invaded the silver screen.

Folke Eriksson wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 21:01Tietenkinrrröööaaarrr wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 20:38Miksi ihmeessä?
