Pentti Pirhonen - Stadin ässät
1985 julkaistu puolidokumentaarinen sotakirja legenda-statuksen omaavasta Ässärykmentistä, jossa monet katsovat tiivistyneen niin sanotun "talvisodan hengen", eli herrat ja Sörkan työläiset yhdessä rintamassa ja vielä aika pahoissa paikoissa. Tavalliset miehet oppivat aika nopeasti tehokkaan tappamisen, jota jatkuu omien tappioiden kanssa sodan viimeisille kiihkeille minuuteille asti. Stadilaista suun soittoa ja sankaritekoja. Loppuneljännes kirjasta kertoo jatkosodan hyökkäyksestä rykmentin hajottamiseen joulukuussa 1941.
