Maximumrock'n'roll #205 (June 2000): I thought MADELS were going to be hardcore, but this sounds like something that could have came out of England in 1978/79. I'm not sure exactly how to describe their sound, but the TOY DOLLS spring to mind. This is a German band, whose singer sounds English one minute and Australian the next. Boppy, snotty, and a little weird. PAX AMERICANA are faster and Finnish. Hard political punk with a saxophone (remember TARGET OF DEMAND) it sounds strange, but this is pretty good. Throw in a MOTORHEAD cover and you have one fucked-up split. (AD)
